Congratulations to the class! Together, you led the school in an amazing fundraising effort for "The Run to Live". In honour of Scott Cannata's run across Canada, the school has donated $1000 to the Canadian Cancer Society. We are mentioned on Scott's Facebook Page
Novel Study
We have wrapped up our gender-based novel studies and I am currently assessing the work of the boys. Unfortunately, several are behind in their work and have not submitted their tasks. Most of these assignments are now at least two weeks overdue. Lists are posted in both rooms so your son knows what is overdue. Homework Help
Parents: could your children or teens use some extra help with their math homework? Grades 7 to 10 students in the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board now have access to free, on-line math tutoring through Homework Help. Every Sunday to Thursday, from 5:30-9:30 p.m., students can enter a live chat room, choose a math tutor, and have their mathematical questions answered instantly.
This free, real-time, one-on-one math tutoring is offered by certified Ontario math teachers. In addition, resources and useful math hints are available for the students to access at any time. They can look up helpful tips for frequently asked questions.
